TownLively: Early Learning Takes Root in Elizabethtown

Catherine Hershey School for Early Learning (CHS), Elizabethtown, located at 130 Alida St., is expected to open in the summer of 2027 and will serve children ages six weeks to 5 years with all costs covered for qualifying families.

The Center will prioritize families in the Elizabethtown, Manheim Central, and Donegal school districts and is the second of three CHS locations planned in Lancaster County, following the opening of CHS New Danville this summer. CHS Lancaster City is expected to open in fall 2027. Operating Centers are located in Hershey, Harrisburg, and Middletown.

TownLively.com writer Cat Shannon recently spoke with CHS Elizabethtown Center Director Luanne Dohner about the school’s mission, approach, and programs for families while taking a behind-the-scenes tour of the under-construction Center. Read the full story here.

Catherine Hershey Schools for Early Learning are subsidiaries of Milton Hershey School and will be staffed and operated independently of the Milton Hershey School core model.
