Whole child care

To help alleviate stress for parents and ensure every child in our care has what they need to make their days comfortable and safe, CHS provides each child with basic supplies and services that support the whole child. These include resources like diapers, wipes, sunscreen, a toothbrush and toothpaste, meals, and, for some, transportation.

Health screening & specialized support

CHS is dedicated to helping children develop healthy minds and bodies. To do this, we provide our children with critical health services like developmental screenings and audiology, vision, and dental screenings. We also help provide services such as physical therapy, occupational therapy, speech pathology, nutrition/dietetics support, and child psychology consultation when necessary.

CHS also helps to navigate developmental or behavioral challenges and works with families to identify solutions. We offer screenings and services so that delays are caught early and solutions can be implemented quickly when needed.

Health care support

CHS can also help families with other wellness-related needs, such as finding a primary care physician, enrolling in insurance programs, and obtaining mental health and wellness support.

Nutrition

Our nutrition program ensures CHS children are well nourished through healthy meals provided at breakfast, lunch, and snack times in family-style dining. Meals are served at a table, with age-appropriate chairs and an adult-size chair for a teacher to join them. Teachers connecting with children in this informal setting builds trust and strengthens the teacher-child relationship. Learn why family-style dining is an important part of a child’s development.
