Central Penn Parent: The magic of messy play: Why a little mess can lead to big learning

Summer brings more opportunities for children to explore, play and learn. Sometimes that learning gets a little messy. In a recent article on Central Penn Parent, Senior Director of Programs at CHS, Dr. Rebekah Benedum, explains how messy and sensory play can support young children’s development, from building motor and language skills to encouraging curiosity, persistence, and emotional growth. She also shares simple ways families can embrace messy play at home while keeping children safe.
