Central Penn Parent: Helping your child make friends: What to expect from infancy through preschool

From a baby smiling at a familiar face to a preschooler seeking out a favorite playmate, children build social skills and relationships in different ways as they grow. In a recent article on Central Penn Parent, CHS Senior Director of Programs Dr. Rebekah Benedum explains what friendship and social development can look like from infancy through preschool. She also shares ways families can support children’s social skills while giving them the time and space to develop relationships at their own pace.
