Standards Manager

CHS Central Office - Hershey, PA

The Standards Manager, reporting to the Director of Standards & Implementation, will focus on supporting consistent, scalable, high-quality execution of CHS Standards across the CHS network of Centers. This individual will work with subject matter experts to ensure organizational standards, policies, procedures, and systems are aligned, consistent, and meet CHS, regulatory, NAEYC, and safety standards. This individual will ensure that newly developed or refined documentation is effectively cascaded to stakeholders through strong documentation, training, and implementation. This role will review and resolve frequent organization-wide escalation matters, ensuring timely, effective resolution in alignment with governance compliance and CHS standards. As this is a highly interactive and visible role, the individual holding this position will have strong leadership and communication skills, demonstrate learning agility with strong organization and planning abilities, and be able to build relationships across CHS to ensure operational alignment is achieved in an environment of trust and respect. The salary range for this position is $70,380 - $92,000 per year based on expertise.

Responsibilities:

  • Manages the Standards Coordinator to ensure effective tracking and updating of escalation issues and trends. Supervises the administrative work of role in support of achieving overall excellence as it relates to execution of standards and governance compliance
  • Responsible for developing, refining, and communications related to the implementation of scalable, network-wide processes to ensure CHS standards are consistently met and implemented in alignment with CHS, regulatory, and accreditation expectations
  • Collaborates with Central Office subject matter experts to ensure alignment and best practice in refining or developing new standards 
  • Liaises with the training and development team to ensure training documentation and delivery in support of policies and procedures that drive operational excellence at CHS Centers. 
  • Through data tracking and analysis, monitors child safety trends in the areas of child safety leading to and development of s strategies, initiatives, and reporting to maintain a culture of safety
  • Serves as a resource to CHS Central Office, Regional, and Centers in maintaining strong tracking, responsive communication, and resolution, including refinement, of CHS standards 
  • Supports department director in achieving the annual Strategic plan and Implementation plan goals 

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Education, Management, or related field required. MBA, or Masters in Educational Leadership, or Management a plus
  • 5+ years of experience in operations of early childhood centers or a closely related field
  • Experience working in or supporting organization wide programs, safety initiatives, and compliance is strongly preferred
  • Working knowledge of analytics tooling and project management software, with the ability to work cross functionally, evaluate data workflows, and translate business requirements into scalable solutions
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to effectively support senior leadership and board of directors in achievement of goals
  • Strong organizational and execution skills, with the ability to manage multiple workstreams in parallel under tight timelines
  • Proven ability to stand up and manage cross-functional workflows involving data, engineering, and analytics teams
  • Ability to translate ambiguous, evolving requirements into structured processes and actionable plans
  • Commitment to the mission and values of CHS and MHS and demonstrated high degree of integrity as all MHS and CHS staff are considered to be role models for children
  • U.S. work authorization and successful completion of pre-employment background checks and clearances
