Standards Coordinator

The Standards Coordinator, reporting to the Standards Manager, is excited to work in a support role driving operational excellence across CHS Centers through the administration and coordination of key aspects of the policies, procedures and systems that drive high-quality early childhood education. This role is responsible for the day-to-day tracking and communication of issues, requests, and documentation that ensure all Centers are operating to expected standards of execution governed by both regulatory agencies and the CHS way. This highly organized individual assists the Standards Manager and by extension the Director of Standards and Implementation in ensuring that issues or gaps in process and procedure are addressed timely and resolved with all parties effected. As tracking and coordination across multi-functions is a key responsibility, this role requires excellent detail orientation and communications skills and is highly effective across a variety of channels and systems. Starting pay is in the range of $22.07 - $28.85 per hour, based on expertise.

Responsibilities:

  • Track and coordinate issues and questions routed by Centers to ensure responses and resolutions are received
  • Urgently elevate and coordinate with stakeholders to deliver timely, accurate responses in alignment with documented standards or ensure that coordination and resolution of unverified issues is completed through communication and documentation
  • Ensure updates to material documents in all locations are finalized and cascaded appropriately; ensure dating and archiving is created to maintain data accuracy
  • Own the process for creating/changing/updating of new procedures and/or policies to meet expected approval chains and to ensure communications reach all affected stakeholders within CHS
  • Consistently review CHS policies and procedures and maintain working knowledge of governmental updates to support the process of resolving escalation issues.
  • Create feedback channels to ensure the team is up to date on changes to regulatory guidelines/lawsSupport safety-related initiatives to meet regulatory expectations. Track and compile relevant data to inform decision making
  • Participate in scheduling of trainings required to update staff and ensure participation is monitored and tracked
  • Track and communicate trends in escalation issues to the Standards Manager and other key stakeholders
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

  • Associates degree required
  • At least 3 years of experience in a Project Coordinator or Administrative Assistant or similar role. Experience helping to launch a new office is preferred
  • Excellent administrative and organizational skills, including effective time management, attention to detail, ability to multitask, and prioritize assigned tasks in a fast-paced environment
  • Experience supporting multiple locations in a regional or corporate environment
  • Demonstrated understanding of and ability to effectively work across multiple locations and departments
  • Comfortability with technology including MS Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint) and/or willingness to learn 
  • Responsible, enthusiastic, and cares about working in a mission-focused organization 
  • Willingness to be held accountable and receive feedback 
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities 
  • Ability to proactively identify problems and implement solutions 
  • Ability to lift ~25 lbs., and be flexible with light physical activity such as opening filing cabinets and bending/standing as necessary

  • U.S. work authorization and successful completion of pre-employment background checks and clearances
