Family Success Manager

The Family Success Manager is responsible for implementing family success policies, procedures, and strategies. The individual is also responsible for engaging students' families and overseeing day to day enrollment activities. The Family Success Manager will identify program gaps and assist in identifying community partners. They will have strong skills in planning and organization, effective verbal and written communication, conflict management, and experience ensuring operational facility compliance with OCDEL, NAEYC, and other high-quality standards. The Family Success Manager will report to the Center Director and work closely with families to ensure that questions about the education, health, and safety of their children are answered. Starting salary is in the range of $57,997 to $77, 426 per year, based on experience.  

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborating with the CHS Central Office enrollment / family success team and implementing CHS family success policies, procedures, and strategies
  • Creating and tracking family success objectives and milestones
  • Communicating with parents and leading meetings where difficult issues arise
  • Leading, guiding, and coaching a team of Family Success Advocates
  • Overseeing the Enrollment Coordinator and all enrollment activities
  • Developing, designing, and supporting the implementation of family engagement events and activities such as volunteer opportunities, workshops, and family-oriented initiatives
  • Creating a system of feedback loops and gap resolution around family and community engagement
  • Creating a Community Partner Engagement model to which specialists can align
  • Staying updated on developments in the fields of family studies and child development
  • Reinforcing best practices in building strong relationships with families, children, and community partners
  • Implementing on-going training with employees related to family engagement
  • Providing input for new policies and procedures
  • Support and facilitate Professional Development content during PD year
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Social Work, Family Studies, Human Development or a related field (Master's Degree is a plus)
  • 5 years of previous experience in family and/or community engagement (preferred)
  • Demonstrated understanding of and ability to effectively work with low-income families
  • Commitment to the mission and values of CHS and MHS and demonstrated high degree of integrity as all MHS and CHS staff are considered to be role models for students
  • Responsible, enthusiastic, and cares about working in a mission-focused organization
  • Willingness to be held accountable and receive feedback
  • Comfortability with technology including MS Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint) and/or willingness to learn
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills including the ability to influence, lead, and educate teams
  • Ability to lead and manage a team, as well as guide and coach them in their responsibilities
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities
  • Ability to proactively identify problems and implement solutions
  • Bilingual Spanish preferred
  • U.S. work authorization and successful completion of pre-employment background checks and clearances
