Center Support Associate
The Center Support Associate plays a critical role in supporting the daily operational needs of the Center. The Center Support Associate is dedicated to a wide range of duties that contribute to a clean, organized, and well-stocked learning environment. This role is essential to maintaining smooth facility operations and supporting the work of classroom and administrative staff.The role reports to the School Operations Manager and will be expected to train in the day to day tasks of a variety of functions reporting to this manager. Starting pay for this position is in the range of $14.71 - $19.61 per hour based on expertise.
Responsibilities:
- Responsible for inventory management, restocking supplies and organizing storage areas
- Receive and process deliveries from the loading dock, including unpacking, checking items into the inventory system
- Distribute materials and supplies to classrooms as needed
- Monitor expiration dates on perishable items and notify appropriate staff
- Identify and communicate supply needs or low inventory to administrative staff
- Maintain valid licenses, certifications, and inspection logs as required
- Drive vehicles to all maintenance and inspection appointments
- Ensure all vehicles have adequate fuel and are kept in clean condition
- Provide support to Family Success and Health Services with parent or family ad-hoc transportation needs
- Assist with general maintenance of outdoor areas, including debris and trash removal
- Attend in-service training and staff meetings as required
- Back-up for the Contracted Day Porter when they are out of the Center
- Support the Center with classroom laundry
- Support administrative staff with monthly and PD meal pick-up, distribution and clean-up
- Conduct spot audits, checking expirations dates in classroom refrigerators to ensure compliance
- Support the Safety team with playground inspections for toxic plants, bee nests or other dangerous items, and ensure playgrounds are free from natural debris.
- Ensure contracted cleaning company's supply closet is fully stocked and items are properly depleted from CHS inventory storage areas
- Participate as member of Emergency Response Plan for Center
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED required
- 1-3 years experience in a similar role
- Valid PA Driver's License required
- Understanding of child safety and vehicle operation
- Familiarity with basic cleaning and inventory processes preferred
- Responsible, punctual, and safety-conscious
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Team-oriented with a willingness to be flexible and support evolving operational needs
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities
- Ability to prioritize competing needs using independent judgement and situational decision making
- Ability to proactively identify problems and implement solutions
- Ability to work in both indoor and outdoor environments
- Ability to lift and carry up to 40 lbs
- Ability to manage time effectively between transportation and facility tasks
