LNP | LancasterOnline: Catherine Hershey Schools enrolling for first Lancaster County location in Pequea Township

In a March 11, 2026, article by LNP | LancasterOnline, schools & education writer Ashley Stalnecker reported on enrollment beginning for Catherine Hershey Schools for Early Learning’s (CHS) first Lancaster County location (CHS New Danville), set to open this summer in Pequea Township.

The story highlights plans for Center to serve 100 children from six weeks to age 5 at no cost to qualifying families, details the repurposing of the former school building, and shares how staff are preparing to welcome students as CHS expands its early childhood education model into Lancaster County.

Catherine Hershey Schools for Early Learning are subsidiaries of Milton Hershey School and will be staffed and operated independently of the Milton Hershey School core model.

Catherine Hershey Schools for Early Learning admits students of any race, color, national and ethnic origin to all the rights, privileges, programs, and activities generally accorded or made available to students at the school. It does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, national and ethnic origin in administration of its educational policies, admissions policies, scholarship and loan programs, and athletic and other school-administered programs.
