Systems Administrator
Role Description:
The CHS Systems Administrator is passionate about implementing technology solutions in an educational environment. This individual will assist the Information Technology Manager in establishing, installing, configuring, and maintaining systems and workstations and security related technologies for the Central Office and accompanying Centers. The Systems Administrator will provide leadership in training and guiding staff members with all technology related matters. In addition, this individual will be proactive in identifying opportunities to improve and enhance current systems. The Systems Administrator is dynamic and strategic in reviewing and managing IT systems around support, project management, systems upgrades, and can assist in coordinating contracts with third-party providers as necessary. Starting salary is in the range of $55,898 - $74,624 a year based on expertise.
Responsibilities:
- Implementing and integrating operational and education technology/software across the CHS Central Office and multiple CHS Centers
- Serving as a subject matter expert on IT operations
- Diagnosing and troubleshooting issues related to hardware and software applications such as Windows OS, MS Office Suites, Adobe Acrobat, etc.
- Developing and documenting practices and procedures for new systems and software
- Managing user access through Azure Active Directories and providing oversight for system access
- Utilizing MS Endpoint Manager and Intune to deploy and secure technologies across the CHS environments
- Training educational and support staff members at CHS in how to use relevant systems
- Working with the IT Manager to plan system rollouts and budget renewals
- Designing a network that supports sharing of information among multiple CHS Centers while following best practices in cybersecurity
- Managing infrastructure technology assets and activities (including personal devices) for the CHS Central Office and multiple CHS Centers through device management systems
- Designing and overseeing the training for future CHS Center Technology Specialists
- Overseeing upgrades of existing systems, and recommending upgrades for current or new systems
- Performing asset management process to recommend devices that need maintenance or replacement
- Establishing clear lines of communication for responsive technical support to CHS staff and children as needed
- Deploying strategic plans for the CHS IT support model
- Assisting the IT Manager with security, regulatory, and technology audits
- Conducting data backups, and data restoration efforts, when the situation requires
- Assisting with vendor relationships and ensuring vendors are meeting project objectives and SLAs
- Building and maintaining positive relationships with all staff and encouraging center growth and performance
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
- Microsoft 365: Modern Desktop Administrator Associate (preferred)
- Microsoft Certified: Azure Fundamentals (preferred)
- Microsoft Certified: Security, Compliance, and Identity Fundamentals (preferred)
- 3+ years of experience in a similar role
- Proficiency in networking, IT infrastructure, firewalls (Cisco ASA, Palo Alto, etc.), and software support
- Knowledge of functional areas such as telecommunications, and classroom technology trends
- Proficiency in using technology, including MS Office Suite (including Teams, Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint)
- Advanced troubleshooting and multi-tasking skills
- Exceptional communication skills – written, verbal, and platform, and the ability to communicate technical concepts to non-technical audiences
- Exceptional organizational and time management skills
- Flexible and quick learner, able to adapt to changing environment by identifying new approaches of working in an entrepreneurial environment

- Demonstrated ability in managing and maintaining a Help Desk tracking/ticketing process

- Ability to hold teams accountable and ensure compliance to CHS requirements and procedures
