Family Engagement and Integration Manager, Early Childhood Centers
CHS Hershey will be CHS’s first center and is expected to open in 2023. The two-story, 50,827-square-foot building, located at the southwest corner of Governor Road and Homestead Road, will include a Family Resource Center, an innovation lab and an experiential learning garden. The center will accommodate 150 students from birth to age 5 and is expected to employ up to 80 employees and volunteers.
Role Description:
The CHS Hershey Family Engagement & Integration Manager is responsible for implementing family engagement policies, procedures, and strategies. The individual is also responsible for engaging students’ families and overseeing day to day admissions activities. The Family Engagement & Integration Manager will identify program gaps and assist in identifying community partners. This individual will report to the CHS Hershey Center Director and work closely with families to ensure that questions about the education, health, and safety of their children are answered.
Responsibilities include:

Collaborating with the CHS Central Office admission / family engagement team and implementing CHS family engagement policies, procedures, and strategies

Creating and tracking family engagement objectives and milestones

Communicating with parents and leading meetings where difficult issues arise

Leading, guiding, and coaching a team of Family Engagement Integration Specialists

Overseeing the CHS Hershey Enrollment Coordinator and all admissions activities

Developing, designing, and supporting the implementation of family engagement events and activities such as volunteer opportunities, workshops, and family-oriented initiatives

Creating a system of feedback loops and gap resolution around family and community engagement

Creating a Community Partner Engagement model to which specialists can align

Staying updated on developments in the fields of family studies and child development

Reinforcing best practices in building strong relationships with families, students, and community partners
Requirements include:

Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work, Family Studies, Human Development or a related field (Master’s in related field is a plus)

5 years of previous experience in family and/or community engagement (preferred)

Ability to lead and manage a team, as well as guide and coach them in their responsibilities

Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities

Demonstrated understanding of and ability to effectively work with low-income families

Ability to proactively identify problems and implement solutions
